A personal note from @mags_paints_minis: 

I’ve donated this model in the hope that it can raise some money, even if just a tiny bit for a fantastic worthwhile charity.

I grew up in an era where you didn’t talk about your feelings, and as such never coped well with my mental health. I have struggled on and off throughout my life and have had to develop my own coping skills. I’ve eventually learnt to talk to people and manage my health through a combination of skills, but it has taken a long time.

One place where I never felt judged was within this hobby. It was something I loved as a child and sadly gave up for a very long time as I was so concerned about what people thought of me and trying to fit in. I rediscovered my love of the hobby later in life with the support of my family and now get to fully immerse myself in this wonderful community. Painting minis, playing games with friends, watching the YouTube videos, attending conventions, all give me some time to enjoy the hobby, detach from the stresses of life and reset.

I do not want anyone to grow up feeling the way I did, and that’s why I feel it’s really important for campaigns like this to continue, highlight the help that’s available, remove the stigma and support the charities that are there to help.
