The miniature painting hobby is something really close to my heart. I discovered the hobby in a time of loss. I was struggling with grief and my mental health was at an all time low. But thanks to miniature painting, I discovered a hobby that helped me quite the storm. I found hours would slip away as I painted - it really has been the biggest cure for my mental health.

This hobby helps me in so many ways. It’s helped heal my mind with a creative and rewarding hobby. And the community has helped me socially where I was once very insular and isolated. I’ve made some true friends for life thanks for the wargaming and miniature painting community.

I chose to paint Titus for Miniatures for Mental Health because he’s one of the main reasons I even discovered the hobby. Space marine 2 was big in the media around the time I painted my first ever miniature and if it wasn’t for all the hype around the game I might have never walked into my local Warhammer store.
