A personal note from the donor: 

Asked to reflect on why I do this hobby and what it means to me, the answer came right away: nostalgia. I'm one of the many hobbyists who was caught up in the thrill of the newly launched 40K in the early 1990's and has returned to it now out of an incredibly strong sense of nostalgia. The minis, lore, and, of course, the artwork transport me to a timei was free of resposibilities and the stresses adult life bring. This piece celebrates that - a recreation of one of my earliest models, heavily inspired by the artwork that we all loved so much back then. By Richard Mason AKA @rjmason84
