The hobby has shaped who I am. As a kid it taught me the value and satisfaction of project planning and execution, it challenged me to hone my painting craft, and it built my confidence and social skills. Coming back to it as an adult has provided a time for calm and focus, as well as a way to build new friendships across the world both online and in real life. I owe so much to it and I hope even more can come from the money raised this week.
