Legions Imperialis
Epic battles. Massive armies. The Horus Heresy, like you’ve never played it before.
Legions Imperialis brings the brutal civil war of the Horus Heresy to the tabletop in an entirely new way – with tiny-scale epic armies that let you command hundreds of troops, tanks, and titans in a single game.
This is Warhammer on a grand scale. Legions clash across ruined cities and war-torn worlds as Space Marines, Solar Auxilia, and god-machines of the Adeptus Titanicus fight for the fate of the Imperium.
Legions Imperialis offers a fresh perspective on the 31st Millennium, delivering epic, large-scale warfare that appeals to Horus Heresy veterans and newcomers alike.
What Makes Legions Imperialis Different?
Legions Imperialis uses 8mm-scale miniatures to represent entire companies of troops, squadrons of tanks, and full maniples of Titans. Battles are vast in scope, but the rules remain fast and accessible; emphasising strategic manoeuvre, combined arms tactics, and battlefield control.
Unlike skirmish games, Legions Imperialis is about big-picture thinking. You’re not just leading a squad – you’re commanding a legion.
Factions in Legions Imperialis
Currently set during the Horus Heresy, the game focuses on the two sides of the civil war:
Loyalist Legions
Fighting to preserve the Imperium, the loyalists include:
- Legiones Astartes (Loyalist) – Space Marines in all their tactical glory.
- Solar Auxilia – Elite human troops with disciplined firepower and tanks.
- Knight Households (Loyalist) – Honoured nobles piloting towering war machines.
Traitor Legions
Serving the Warmaster and the Dark Gods:
- Legiones Astartes (Traitor) – Space Marines corrupted by chaos and betrayal.
- Dark Mechanicum & Daemonic allies – Coming soon, these forces bring a darker twist to the battlefield.
- Knight Households (Traitor) – Noble houses fallen to madness or ambition.
God-Engines of the Adeptus Titanicus
Both loyalist and traitor forces can field devastating Titans—massive machines of war that dominate the battlefield. Choose from Warhound, Reaver, and Warlord classes, all beautifully detailed in small scale.
