At Merlin’s Miniatures, we understand that your Warhammer models are precious, and we want to ensure they arrive safely and in perfect condition. Proper packing is essential to protect your miniatures during transit. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you carefully pack your items when sending them to us.
- Gather Your Supplies Before you start, make sure you have all the necessary packing materials:
- Sturdy cardboard boxes
- Bubble wrap or foam padding
- Packing peanuts or crumpled paper
- Zip-lock bags or small plastic containers
- Packing tape
- Fragile labels (optional)

Prepare Your Models To prevent damage, we recommend placing items in small plastic containers within a larger box. For smaller models, consider wrapping them individually in bubble wrap. This extra layer of protection will help avoid scratches and breakages.

Secure Fragile Parts For models with fragile parts, use additional padding. Wrap each part in bubble wrap and secure it with tape. Make sure any protruding parts, like weapons or banners, are well-protected to prevent bending or snapping.

Choose the Right Box Select a box that is sturdy and appropriately sized for your collection. Avoid using boxes that are too large, as this can lead to shifting during transit. Line the bottom of the box with packing peanuts or crumpled paper to create a cushioning layer.

Pack with Care Place the wrapped models in the box, ensuring they are snug and secure. Fill any gaps with packing peanuts or crumpled paper to prevent movement. If you’re sending multiple models, layer them with additional padding between each layer to avoid contact.

Seal and Label the Box Once your models are securely packed, seal the box with packing tape. Reinforce all seams to ensure the box stays intact. If you have fragile labels, place them on the box to alert handlers to take extra care.
