The hobby means everything to me. It has helped me through tough times because it’s the one place where I can switch my mind off and just focus on a very simple task—blue, blue, blue. It feels like meditation, giving my head a break from overthinking.

It’s become so important to me that I decided to try and make a living from it. I traded my well-paid job for a not-so-well-paid life as an artist—but it makes me incredibly happy, and I’m proud that I dared to take that step.

I chose a miniature from the Star Wars universe because it connects to my account name, Chewie Painting 🙂
