Ryan here @paintpartyscot and happy to donate my little contribution.
The hobby to me is my main escape from a busy and hectic life, a little self crafted oasis where I can make things that are appreciated by others and build relationships in a way I have never done before. It's made better in that it's something to share, to learn, to pass onto my kids, an excitement for generating things that are purely for ones own enjoyment.
This piece I donated was my first heavy project, Master Lazarus, where I tried to step up from tabletop level painting to something I could display. While I have moved beyond that now, it's a important marker on my journey that I wanted to share with others. Now it can help others in a way I try to through my professional role in mental health services.
